Villa Kanata
Bed and Breakfast
Amazing view, comfy bed, tasty breakfast ...
the perfect combination for a stress-free holiday on the Croatian coast:

First row and completely open to the sea, we have a newer house with rooms and a studio apartment, the perfect setup for couples, clean and comfortable, and a 3 star rating. Each space is ideally suited for couples (2 people), includes 3-piece washroom, air-conditioning, satellite television, wireless Internet access, and room safe. Rooms are located on the upper floors and have balconies, while the studio is located on the ground floor and has a patio. The studio additionally includes a kitchenette and refrigerator intended for light cooking, while rooms have access to a shared refrigerator in the common area (no common kitchen). Private parking is available in front, spaces are limited, but street parking is nearby.

Breakfast is served with a sea view each morning on our spacious outdoor patio (or in our dining room if weather does not permit). We offer a continental breakfast of fresh bread and cold cuts, butter and jam, and everyday we add an extra item, such as eggs, tomatoes, bananas, or yogurt, with a glass of orange juice, and your choice of all you can drink coffee or tea.

Great value for your money considering the offer and the view, there is no doubt that our prices are fair, but don't take our word for it, view our Rates for Summer 2024 (.pdf)

The beach is right across the street and just a few more steps is a seaside cafe, but more beaches, restaurants, and convenience store are closeby, explore what else is Nearby

What does 'kanata' mean?

'Kanata' is an aboriginal word for "village", claimed as the origin of Canada's name, which comes from the Mohawk language, the Mohawks being a tribe of the Iroquois, native to Eastern Canada.
We chose the word 'kanata' for our villa as a tribute to Canada, a country where our family lived, learned, and worked for many years.

All the essentials within walking distance, ...
beaches, restaurants, covenience stores, harbours:

Your choice of beach is possible, there are beaches of fine pebbles or finished concrete, spots open to the sea and sun ideal for sun-bathing, or spots with trees and shade, spots which have shallow entrances perfect for children, or spots with deep water for diving, you decide!

Three restaurants in town, Bistro Lucija in the harbour, and restaurants Danica and Garfild on the main road, all serving up grilled food, pizza, seafood, and more, with great prices and service. Also find a beachside cafe and convenience store in town.

Two harbours to serve your nautical needs, one public harbour just below Morska Grota, and Mitan Marina, just 5 minutes away by car with nautical shop and restaurant.

Visiting Povile
While others, tourists and hoteliers alike, flock to towns on the Croatian coast like Opatija, Crikvenica, Selce, Novi Vinodolski, and others, my family and I lucked out with a nice little spot, almost a secret, and setup shop in a small town called Povile ... Read more.
